We’re very excited to invite you to iMPeRFeCT Gallery's first Live Art Making Festival. Artists & Artisans are taking over the 5500 block of Gtown Ave. to make their work in public, for all to witness what is normally a private creative endeavor. DJ Oluwafemi will be spinning some tunes to make us dance, to inspire us and get into a groove… There will also be opportunities for some art making by the public, help us make VOTE signs for the fence!
Many thanks to Germantown United CDC for supporting our crazy idea, hopefully this is our first of many festivals :-)
PS. If you’re an artist interested in joining our Art Making Festival, go to the Festival Page on this website for details.

INDIVISIBLE closes this Saturday, Aug 3, time flew! But we’re NOT done celebrating this phenomenal exhibition by 19 immigrant artists, YOU are invited to the closing reception on Saturday, Aug 3, from 3-5pm.
Let’s toast to the artists, their work and ALL their journeys!
Come one, come all! Let’s celebrate the diversity in our city and in our country, the diversity that makes us strong and resilient, the diversity that shows us our shared humanity.
Right on our 5500 block of Germantown Ave (bet Schoolhouse Ln & Armat St), we’ll have a taco truck and maybe others plus vendors too, a place to celebrate the contributions of our immigrant friends and neighbors so they feel welcomed and supported. Do you know how hard it is to pack all your stuff or nothing at all and just move to another country and leave everything and everyone behind?!?!
It’s very hard… and yet, they do it. And WHAT, may we ask, would our life be like without Tacos, Sushi, Ceviche, Pierogies, Pho, etc?!?! 🌮🍱🥡🍜
To top it all off, DJ OLUWAFEMI will take over with world tunes to make us all dance in the street!

On Thursday, July 4th, “Indivisible: A Celebration of Immigrants, Refugees and the Pursuit of Freedom” will be opening to the public with a reception from 5-8pm. The exhibit showcases multidisciplinary art work from an array of intergenerational immigrant and migrant artists in the Philadelphia region and beyond.
The human right to migrate is sown into the DNA of all people, rooted in the need for nourishment, home and future. In an era where immigration is criminalized and immigrants are demonized daily, migration is an act of resistance and generational empowerment. "Indivisible' showcases the narratives and artistic expression of those who have chosen to make the United States their home despite hostility, white supremacy and broken systems. It imagines a future when the nation is truly united, where immigrants are not only welcomed, they are celebrated.
GUESTS CURATORS: Chela Ixcopal & Jasmine Rivera
On view: July 4th - August 3rd
