JHP & Friends- An iMPeRFeCT residency

Local pianist and composer Julian Hartwell brings his trio for a regular residency running once per exhibit cycle. As the rhythm section backbone for his larger group 'the Julian Hartwell Project' (JHP)- the trio will use this residency as a testing-ground for new repertoire, experimentation and approaches, while hosting select guest artists and "sitting-in" from talented friends in the local music scene. Shows will have a fun, laid-back atmosphere, and with their blend of original jazz, funk, groove, hip-hop and more expect plenty of improv and the 'imperfect' stretching of musical bounds. No cover, but BYO beverages, snacks, and good vibes.
