A Night of Forbidden Rhythms
Not your average Latin dance night is coming to Germantown. From deep cuts to rare grooves, Fiesta Lado B celebrates the cultural richness of Latin America-the sounds born on our coasts, our mountains, and our jungles. Mexican selector Sonido Tomi kicks things off with a vinyl journey through cumbias, salsa, merengue & more.
Then DJ Renaissance takes us on a sonic trip from the Caribbean to the Andes and everywhere in between. Live percussion by Colombian powerhouse Simon Martinez, plus surprise guests! / Hosted by multi-talented Chilean artist YayaKira.
El Lado B (The B Side) was born from a need to showcase the other side-the rhythms, feelings, and cultural treasures that don't always get their spotlight in today's commercial scene. If you want to experience Latin music differently, this is the place.
Come jam with us on The B Side. ¡Nos vemos!

More about Johnny Showcase and The Mystic Ticket
This Philadelphia-based group is an innovative, joyful tour-de-force that blissfully toes the line between performance art and a psychedelic soul revival. Carrying the torch of funk-rock pioneers like Funkadelic and Frank Zappa, as well as old school comedic entertainers such as Steve Martin and The Blues Brothers, their ecstatic and hilarious live shows have gained a massive following and propelled Johnny to something that of a funky Philly folk hero legend.
The brain-child of actor/ musician David Sweeny, Johnny Showcase is a sweaty, charismatic showman from Rhode Island who is equal parts Andy Kaufman and Prince. Surrounding him is a rag tag group of performers, including a spiritual adviser named Rumi Kitchen and the knife sharp backing band the Mystic Ticket.
In 2021, Showcase wowed judges on America’s Got Talent and expanded their talent worldwide.
