The exhibition by Jefferson University's Textile Design Summer Graduate Studio, What Remains, celebrates the joy of making through knitting and surface design, showcasing work that explores ancient rituals, past experiences, cryptic messages, and imagined futures. Each artist offers a unique perspective while contributing to a shared conversation about what lingers, evolves, and endures through material and process. 

what remains, brings together the textile practices of Miriam Badri, Emma Graeff, Sadie Moran, and Laura Walczak.

Through weaving, knitting, and surface design, each artist explores traces of memory, ritual, language, music, and the natural world. Their work examines what persists as experiences fade; revealing imagined histories, evolving forms, and artifacts that exist somewhere between preservation and transformation.

From psychedelic visual culture and speculative evolution to archaic writing and spiritual adornment, what remains invites viewers to consider the stories, symbols, and material traces we inherit, reinterpret, and leave behind.
